Material Delivery

Production
ADPOINT enables designers to create and modify digital and print ad materials in both in-house and outsourced production environments. While materials and assets can be easily accessed in the Asset Management Module through any production tool, ADPOINT also features complete integration with Adobe® InDesign.
Proofing
From a standard web page, customers access proofs of both digital and print ads. Powerful annotation tools enable a fast and smooth proofing workflow with clear indication of changes. And if a customer forgets to approve an order, ADPOINT automatically sends reminders in accordance with deadline rules.

Upload and validation
Digital creatives can be delivered to ADPOINT through a flexible upload page. Simply choose a folder or zip file, or enter a Third-party tag, ADPOINT will take care of the rest.
ADPOINT validates properties such as size, weight (Kb), video loads, clicktags and much more for HTML5, JPEG, PNG and GIF formats.
Production and proofing
Through the use of ADPOINT’s Asset Management Module and flexible check-in and check-out features, designers have full control of the production process for digital creatives in the design tool of choice.
Proofs can be annotated by internal users as well as customers.

What booking systems does ADPOINT connect with?
ADPOINT connects with most popular newspaper ad booking systems. Currently we provide standard interfaces for solutions from LineUp, Newscycle, CCI, Atex and Socho_IT. In addition we offer an interface based on AdsML as well various REST and Web Services solutions.
Does ADPOINT handle digital and print ads?
Yes. ADPOINT supports PDF and EPS files for print formats as well as HTML, PNG, JPG and GIF for digital formats. ADPOINT automatically applies the correct workflow based on the filetype.
Does ADPOINT run in the cloud?
Yes. ADPOINT was designed to run as a web application from the very beginning. This means that ADPOINT can be deployed to run on premises or as a fully managed hosted solution in our cloud.
Does ADPOINT support my language?
Oui! Si! Yes! Ja! ADPOINT comes with support for English, French, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Spanish and Dutch as standard. Superusers can translate and modify languages to match local preferences.
Can ADPOINT manage our deadlines
Yes. ADPOINT can either import deadlines from your booking system or it can apply deadlines to each order based on a vast number of parameters. Deadlines apply to material delivery, component delivery and proofs.
How is ADPOINT kept up to date?
ADPOINT updates are issued on a regular basis: Bug fixes and feature releases are issued and installed regularly. Version upgrades are usually released every 18-24 months.
How does ADPOINT check the quality of ad files
That depends on the nature of the file: Print files are generally preflighted in Callas pdfToolbox or other third-party preflight tools. In addition the built-in Adobe PDF Render module (optionally also Harlequin rips are supported) is used to generate a color-separated preview. Digital ads are tested and verified through ADPOINT’s own digital ad validation module.
How does ADPOINT keep up with my production throughput during peak hours?
ADPOINTs capacity depends on overall hardware performance. On fairly modern standard configured hardware, the rule of thumb is that a single ADPOINT server can handle approximately 200 average ads per hour. Additional Engine Servers can be added to handle larger loads.
What production applications are supported?
Ad producers use many tools. ADPOINT has support for newer versions of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop through plugins that can be freely distributed under the license agreement. Users can also download production assets to a local folder in order to modify with their favorite application.
Who else is running ADPOINT?
ADPOINT is used by media companies in any size. From the small regional publisher with only a few titles to large multinational publishers with multiple regional- and national titles, ADPOINT is the hub of ad production for thousands of users every day.
How is ADPOINT licensed?
ADPOINT can be licensed to run on your own premises or in our Fully Managed Cloud. We have different licensing models ensuring a high level of flexibility when you need to expand or reduce capacity.
The ADPOINT license covers all included licenses in relation to database, Callas PDF Toolbox etc.
Can we adapt the workflow to follow house rules?
Yes. ADPOINTs workflow can be configured to meet almost any special rule or procedure. File routing and events can be triggered by any kind of file metadata. Several status levels can be applied at any point in the workflow.
How do we maintain users?
ADPOINT has a complete user and group management module. This module can even be integrated with Active Directory to simplify user maintenance.
